From the South Florida Business Journal:
The Roscioli Yachting Center in Davie was sold for $30.4 million, following the death of founder Bob Roscioli in 2020.
Roscioli Yachting Center Inc., managed by his widow Sharon Roscioli, sold the marine center at 3201 and 3225 W. State Road 84 to South Florida Assets & Operations, part of Buford, Georgia-based OneWater Marine Holdings(Nasdaq: ONEW). The deal covers 12.1 acres with 222,890 square feet of marine-related facilities.
The seller was represented by Wes Shelton and Dan Smith of SM2 Advisors. Shelton said OneWater Marine will keep the Roscioli name on the property and retain the employees.
It was originally developed in 1985 and expanded in 2006. The facility has undercover storage for boats of up to 150 feet and offers a full range of yacht service and refurbishing capabilities.
Roscioli Yachting Center ranked No. 12 on the Business Journal list of largest South Florida Marine Industry Businesses with revenue of $11.6 million in 2017. It had 61 employees at the time of the survey.
Roscioli died at 78 in July from Covid-19.
Now, the Roscioli Yachting Center is in the hands of OneWater Marine, which has 68 stores in 10 states. This comes on the heels of the company’s purchase of Walker Marine Group in southwest Florida.
